Curriculum Implementation

The new curriculum is designed to be flexible and engaging to encourage learning and help teachers respond to the specific needs and interests of their students. Educator Updates are located on the Public Schools Division: Learning Branch Website. View the most recent update.

Communicating Student Learning Resource & Professional Development Tool
Assessment, planning and interim reporting guidelines for Grades K=9 and 10-12are located in the Curriculum Implementation section of the website as well as a variety of workshops and presentations. A tool has been developed specifically to support Yukon during the transition to the new curriculum and to support teachers professional; development  in the area of assessment practices regarding communicating student learning and following the interim reporting guidelines that schools will follow over the next two years.

All the Right Type (ATRT): An educational tool to help improve typing speed and accuracy available to Yukon teachers. Please submit a ticket to the ITTS HelpDesk to have accounts created for your students.

Privacy Toolkit

The Privacy Toolkit was developed by the Department of Education’s Privacy Management Coordinator to educate and assist teachers with protecting the privacy and security of the personal information of their students. The Privacy Toolkit includes a PowerPoint presentation entitled Online Education Services Privacy Compliance. and a sample and template consent form.
